ok, i feel exhausted...i've just spent the last 2 hours updating my xanga.  i was really slack about updating it so samantha complained to me so in order to make her feel better i've been in her room all night updating it to look "super cool."  oh yeah...

so m.c. escher is the flippin deal.  he's the guy who drew my background.  pretty sweet huh?

ok, so i've been married for about 3 months now.  it's the best thing ever!

so my wonderful husband, stuart, has got me hooked on world of warcraft...it's a computer game.  (sigh)  one nerd made for another.  haha.  it's pretty fun though...really...you have to believe me...

ok, it's time for me to go...i've been working on this waaaaay too long...

ok, so i'm finally back to work.  i've been married for over three weeks and it has been non-stop since!  don't we ever get tired of just "going" all the time?  i want the simple life.

so the wedding went off without a hitch although i thought we would drown on friday.  we had a noreaster (sp?) and it rained for over a day straight - no stopping and you know how that is in elizabeth city, the toilet bowl of north carolina.  anyways, God was clearing all the rain out in one swoop because saturday the weather was near perfect and i got to have pictures outside!  yea!  it was great.

the honeymoon rocked.  we went to siesta key, fl and it was beautiful.  the water on the gulf side of florida is soooooooooooo much prettier than on the atlantic side.  the beach where we stayed is known for its sand.  it's that real powdery white and it feels like you're walking on powdered sugar.  the coolest thing though is it never gets hot!  it is so sweet.  we watched the sun set several times, ate out a little, slept in, laid on the beach, played mini golf and rook, went to an art museum, botannical gardens and a jungle gardens.  yeah...it was the deal.

this past week was spent in maryland and ohio.  mon-wed stuart and i went to lcc-ec with frank dodson and some others to transport their entire library back to rbc.  we had to move like 15,000 books.  it was kind of crazy but fun.  and let me tell you something...you think rbc is small...you haven't seen anything til you've been there!

thurs-sun we were in ohio visiting my family and attending my brother's graduation from high school.  it was nice seeing family and being home.  we didn't do too much while we were there.  we did see the longest yard.  it was pretty good.  it had a lot of cussing in it and prison humor but i guess we should have expected that.  i found it to be really predictable.

today i'm back at work.  yes, that's right, work on memorial day.  the rest of the nation is shut down but we are committed here at rbc!  haha.  anyways.  i'll finally be in the office for a whole week.  i can hardly believe it.  but the summer is going to go by fast!  there is mucho traveling for la escuela.

well, i'm off to go home for lunch!  grilled cheeses...oh yeah.

Hey everyone.  This has been an exciting week.  Let me start by telling you about the greatest concert I have ever been to.

This past Wednesday Stuart and I went to Duke University to see Collective Soul play for free.  When we got there the stage was set up on one of the universities courtyards.  About 10 feet from the stage there was a fence we all had to be behind.  Well the opening band was playing and they sucked so no one was really paying much attention to them.  Which was an excellent fact towards my advantage because I was able to get right up on the fence on the right side of the stage!  So, when it was finally time for Collective Soul to come on I had a wicked good spot!  It was sooooooooo fantastic!  I took like a bazillion pictures and practically all of them turned out great!  It was like it was meant to be...have I mentioned yet that it was free?  They played an hour and forty-five minute set and I don't think there is one song that they didn't play that I wish they had.  IT WAS PERFECTION!  I'm still totally psyched about it.  If I never see another "real" concert in my life I'll still be satisfied.  It was absolute bliss.  And might I add that Will Turpin, the bass player, and Dean Roland, the rhythm guitarist and keyboard player, were by far the coolest to see in real life!

I get married in 8 days....whoo-hoo!  This weekend we're switching out furniture from his house and Stuart is getting ordained so it is going to be pretty busy.  After today I only have one more day of work left because Monday is River Day.   OH YEAH.  Things are just going to keep getting better and better with each day that passes...

So this font is called "4 my lover."  isn't that funny?  hard to read though...hold on..

Ok, so today is pretty sweet because the weather is awesome (finally! gosh...) and I get off work early and don't have to come back in until Friday because we had Great Getaway this past weekend.  Holla back!

So I get married in 17 days...very weird...good...but weird...I remember when the countdown was like 357 and now it is soooooo close I can smell it!  (I wonder what kind of smell a wedding would smell like...if there is one I'm sure Bath and Body works will bottle it soon...)

I'm really excited because I'm going to see Collective Soul in concert one week from today at Duke University!!!!!!  I know what you're thinking - "What could get better than that?!" but hold on...get this:  IT IS A COMPLETELY FREE CONCERT. Who's glad her future brother in law is a Dukie?  Me!

I'm getting ready to bake around 250 cookies for my wedding reception today and tomorrow.  They are peanut butter blossoms and are one of my favs!  Went out and got ingredients last night...mysteriously misplaced recipe...hmmmm...gotta figure that out...  Anywho, it should be a ton of fun!

So my roommate, Beth Herbst, got her wedding dress yesterday!  It looks fab on her.  Usually with Beth anything that could go wrong goes wrong but not with this wedding thing.  She's really cashed in on all her risk taking this time.  Good thing too, get it when it counts!  We tried on our wedding dresses together last night and held our flowers.  It was fun...

I guess that is pretty much it for now.  Would you look at that!  It's time for me to begin my day and a half off!  SWEET!

As Kip Dynamite put it so perfectly: "PEACE OUT."

All I've got to say is the weather sucks!  What is up with like 70 degree weather last week and cold and rainy 40 degree weather this week?  I can't wait til I get to heaven and everything is PERFECT!  I'm not so sure I'll care about the weather when I get there but anywho.

I'm getting married in 24 days.  It's so surreal.  I remember when the countdown was over a year!  Time flies like nothing else.    I'm not nervous though.  I'm looking forward to never having Stuart leave at night because there is a curfew.  That's been real annoying lately.

Well...I guess my life isn't all that exciting at the moment...check ya on the flip.
